This was an older home in a mature South Seattle neighborhood. Stevenson Roofing Inc. was contracted by the owners to replace their old roof with brand new CertainTeed’s Lifetime Triple Laminated Presidential TL Shakes. The color and style of roofing material the owners chose added a lot to their already beautiful home.
The first thing we did was tore off the old 3-tab composition roof, removed the old felt barrier, and pounded down any remaining nails. Next we installed CertainTeed WinterGuard ice and water shield, and then installed CertainTeed’s Diamond Deck. Diamond Deck.
These are two superior, high-performance roofing underlayment’s are among that work in tandem with roofing shingle to provide a truly complete roofing system. Then we installed 26 gauge metal in all the valleys and roof edges.
Lastly, we installed CertainTeed’s lifetime triple laminated presidential TL shingles. The color was Aged Bark. These are luxury shingles with the look of cedar shakes and thickness of real slate. This product provides the thickness, quality, durability, and performance that make it one of the finest composition roofing materials available in today’s roofing industry.
